“Mamelodi hospital is a regional hospital of the Gauteng Department of Health responsible for ensuring that the people of Mamelodi and surrounding areas have access to basic public health care services. It is situated in the outer outskirts of Tshwane east 2,1 km away from town. The hospital was formally created in 1981 as a community health centre and upgraded to a regional hospital in 2010. Equipped with approximately 325 beds the current hospital renovations are set to bring the bed capacity to 400 furthermore the hospital is encamped with 20 clinics and 3 Community Health Care Centres.” – Hospital’s official facebook page.
