How was the accommodation?
Not the greatest but not the worst. Livable but possibility of sharing with another intern.

How was the level of supervision and teaching?
Depends on the rotation. Supervision and teaching in anaesthesia, ortho and emergency med, paeds was great. The rest not so much but you’ll learn a lot (without feeling tons of anxiety).

How was the clinical exposure?
Great. Learnt a lot in terms of skills and learning to be independent.

Was any of the following available?
Yes - X-Rays, Blood Gas Machines, Ultrasounds, CT-Scans, NHLS

Academics available?
Diplomas.

Did you have a social life? What kept you busy/entertained?
Yes. Great social life with other interns especially if keen to socialise. Most places here in Springs aren’t too nice so most times I’d have fun in other parts of gauteng.
